This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which bookings and tickets purchased through DistrictEvents at https://districtevents.co/ may be cancelled and refunds may be requested or processed.

DistrictEvents is operated by DEVANG GANESH GAGI (“DistrictEvents”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This Policy applies to transactions made through our website. Please also read the cancellation and refund terms displayed on the relevant Event page and during checkout before making a payment.

1. Event-Specific Cancellation Terms

Cancellation and refund conditions may differ from one Event to another, depending on the Event Organiser’s policy and the nature of the Event.

The applicable cancellation window, refund eligibility, cancellation charges (if any), partial-cancellation rules and other conditions will be displayed on the relevant Event page or checkout screen before you complete your purchase. Those Event-specific terms form part of your booking.

Where an Event is expressly marked as non-cancellable or non-refundable, a customer-requested cancellation or failure to attend will generally not qualify for a refund, except where required by applicable law or where an exception is expressly approved.

We will not apply a cancellation charge unless it is disclosed before purchase and is permitted by applicable law.

2. Cancellation Requested by the Customer

If the Event listing allows customer-initiated cancellation, you may submit a cancellation request within the time limit and by the method stated for that Event.

To request cancellation, email support@districtevents.co with:

A cancellation request is not complete merely because an email has been sent. We will verify the booking and confirm whether the request is eligible under the Event-specific cancellation terms.

If the Event is marked non-cancellable/non-refundable, or the cancellation request is received after the stated deadline, a refund may not be available, subject to applicable law.

3. Event Cancelled by the Organiser

If the Event Organiser cancels an Event and the Event will not take place, affected customers will be informed using the contact details provided at checkout, where those details are available to us.

Where a refund is due, we will arrange or initiate a refund for the amount paid for the affected ticket booking through the original payment method, subject to payment-provider processing and applicable law. Any refund treatment of platform or convenience fees will be communicated as part of the cancellation notice and will comply with applicable law.

Customers will not be required to pay a customer cancellation charge for an Event cancelled by the Organiser.

4. Event Postponed, Rescheduled or Venue Changed

If an Event is postponed, rescheduled or moved to another venue, we or the Event Organiser will communicate the revised information made available to us.

Your existing ticket may remain valid for the revised date or venue where the Organiser confirms this. If a refund or alternative option is offered, the available choices and the time limit for responding will be communicated to affected customers.

Any refund request in these circumstances will be handled according to the revised Event notice, Event-specific terms and applicable law.

5. Failed, Pending or Debited but Unconfirmed Payments

If money is deducted from your bank account, card or UPI account but your booking is not confirmed, please do not immediately make another payment.

Contact support@districtevents.co and provide:

We will check the order and payment status with the payment gateway and relevant payment participants.

If the transaction is confirmed as failed and no ticket or service is provided, the refund will be handled through the payment system. Some failed or pending transactions may be automatically reconciled by the payment provider and refunded. The timing depends on the bank and payment method.

6. Duplicate Payments

If you believe that you were charged more than once for the same booking, contact us at support@districtevents.co with the booking ID and all relevant transaction references.

After verification, any confirmed duplicate payment that is eligible for refund will be refunded to the original payment source. A second successful transaction that generated a separate valid booking will not automatically be treated as a duplicate; we will review the order and payment records.

7. Refund Processing Method and Timeline

Approved refunds are normally initiated to the original payment method used for the transaction. For payments processed through PayU, refunds are routed through the relevant payment gateway and banking/payment network.

After a refund is initiated, it typically takes 5–21 days for the amount to appear in the customer’s bank account, depending on the payment method, bank and payment network. Certain banks or payment methods may take longer. The time taken for the amount to reflect is controlled by the relevant financial institution and is not solely within DistrictEvents’ control.

We will share available refund status or reference information where provided by the payment system. Please check your original payment account before raising a follow-up query.

8. Refund Amount

The refund amount, where approved, will be calculated according to the applicable Event-specific terms, the amount actually paid and applicable law.

Any taxes or charges required by law to be refunded will be included. A refund will not exceed the amount of the original transaction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any fee described as non-refundable must be clearly disclosed to the customer before payment and remains subject to applicable law. No undisclosed deduction will be made from an approved refund.

9. No-Show and Late Arrival

If a customer does not attend an Event, arrives after the permitted entry time or is unable to enter because they did not meet the Event’s published entry requirements, a refund will generally not be available unless the Event-specific policy or applicable law provides otherwise.

Please check the Event’s date, time, venue, age limits, ID requirements and entry instructions before purchasing a ticket.

10. Tickets Purchased Outside DistrictEvents

This Policy applies to bookings and payments made through https://districtevents.co/.

For tickets purchased directly from an Event Organiser, another ticketing website, an unauthorised reseller or any other third party, you must contact the seller or platform from which you purchased the ticket. We may not be able to verify or refund transactions that are not recorded in our system.
